COME WITH ME TO CAMPUS BELLOCH

We have recently returned from a pharmaceutical event just outside of Barcelona!

Our client needed a venue where they could provide internal training for almost 100 attendees who were travelling from all over the world. We decided to go for something a little different than a typical inner-city hotel, and it certainly didn’t disappoint! We chose Campus Belloch run by Châteauform, they have campuses situated all over Europe, this one is a 50-minute drive away from Barcelona Airport. As it’s located slightly out of the city, it is surrounded by greenery and has stunning mountain views that you can watch the sun rise and set over. The main benefit of having so much outdoor space is all of the activities there is to do; you can play football, paddle, tennis, basketball and badminton, you can even take a bike out and ask reception for a list of the best local cycle routes! If the weather isn’t great (which I’m sure is unusual in sunny Spain) there are so many indoor activities to do too; you can play pool and foosball, as well as a variety of old-fashioned wooden board games which are dotted around. We found that this was a lovely touch as it gave the event a more inclusive and relaxed feel during free time, it promoted an active lifestyle and gave the delegates an unstructured place to connect, which everyone seemed to really enjoy.

Each campus run by Châteauform is hosted by a couple, their ethos is that the place feels like “home from home” which is why you can help yourself to any tea/coffee, soft drinks, beer, sweets and nuts all day, every day! A lot of people commented on the fact that it was so unlike any other conference event they had attended before; this was due to the fact that everyone had the freedom to do what they wanted, whether that be going for a stroll in nature, reading in a quiet corner, sitting up to the bar with colleagues or singing karaoke in the games room!

All of the staff went above and beyond to provide exceptional service to everyone involved, there was a lot of swapping and changing on our part, yet nothing was too much trouble for them. The cuisine was a particular highlight, the chefs used fresh, seasonal ingredients to curate some mouth-watering buffets and three course meals! At breakfast, lunch and dinner, there was a variety of options to cater to all tastes and dietaries, this was greatly appreciated by the guests.

The meeting rooms were ideal for this event, they were spacious and had natural daylight streaming in through the windows, this created such a pleasant working environment! Also, each room had in-house technology which meant the A/V team didn’t have to lug their equipment all the way to Spain!

Something else that didn’t go unnoticed was the venues dedication to sustainability. Each person staying there received a metal water bottle which they could write their name on, there were fill stations located everywhere with the option of still and sparkling water taps. As well as this, there were recycling bins which were clearly labelled and hardly any single-use plastics.

Lastly, I can’t end this blog without mentioning Talco, the one-year-old Parisian beagle, named after talcum powder because of his silky-smooth fur! He was often there with his owner (the lady who managed Campus Belloch) and provided unofficial pet therapy to a number of the attendees (as well as the BeSure Team) with his charming little character; although, I did hear that he has a taste for Invisalign’s which he likes to forage from people’s handbags!

It was evident that everyone enjoyed their stay at Campus Belloch and had taken full advantage of all it had to offer. Me and the BeSure team agreed that it certainly wouldn’t be the last event we hold at a Châteauform property, until next time!
